I am dangerously fascinated by capturing
views that other people miss.
I will climb up bridge supports or walk into
abandoned buildings to catch something I need
to visually express, without wearing the proper shoes.

I think design should be simple and useful,
but always an art form.
Growing up in the prairie where every tree
is planted in a straight line, made me appreciate
the details of how design is used and the rich
enfluence of expression.

I could paint before I could talk,
but nobody remembers ever seeing me quiet.
Obsessively in love with form, texture and line,
I feel like if I don’t have something stuck under
my nails, I wasn’t trying hard enough.
